For this project, we studied the graffiti style of the artist PHAT1 and applied it to a full-scale mural sketch. I started by developing the word “Funky” in PHAT1’s lettering style, focusing on rhythm, layering, and character. After finalizing the sketch, I created a doodle grid to map out proportions and placement. Using that grid as a guide, I transferred the design onto the wall, working to keep the lines, shapes, and energy of the original sketch as accurate as possible. This project combined style analysis, planning, and large-scale execution.
